“When choreographing for other people I am often continuously writing and preplanning, and have tons of notebooks that can attest to that. When choreographing for myself, however, I find that I only use a few notes, guidelines on music or qualities for each section, and some short notes about potential movement that I want to include.
This particular process had these notes happening in a couple of sticky notes within my diary, noting qualities, timings in the music and potential corresponding tasks/ideas, and some movement options”
